DOUGLAS, Elva Butts - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG - Mrs. Elva Butts, 66, of 304 Dewey St., died Friday night in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville where she'd been a patient for two weeks. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Church of God at Sterling. She was born July 28, 1904, in Stone Bluff of Benjamin and Rebecca Regal Butts. On Dec. 24, 1920, she married Everett Douglas at Fountain City. Surviving are her husband; five sons. Gordon, Eugene, and Donald, all of Veedersburg, Wayne of Cates and Carl of Brooksville, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Holt of Covington; two brothers, Earl Butts of Veedersburg and Guy Butts of Danville; 28 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six children and three grand-children. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Parham Funeral Home with Rev. Swinson officiating and burial in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - jlr
